Left with nothing. - FORECLOSURE FRAUD

Left with nothing.

Left with nothing.

WAPO-

On the day Bennie Coleman lost his house, the day armed U.S. marshals came to his door and ordered him off the property, he slumped in a folding chair across the street and watched the vestiges of his 76 years hauled to the curb.

Movers carted out his easy chair, his clothes, his television. Next came the things that were closest to his heart: his Marine Corps medals and photographs of his dead wife, Martha. The duplex in Northeast Washington that Coleman bought with cash two decades earlier was emptied and shuttered. By sundown, he had nowhere to go.

All because he didn’t pay a $134 property tax bill.

What in the hell has this country come to when some kind soul couldn’t pay that $134 bill for him How are the sherrifs sleeping at night how is anyone involved with putting this man out to the curb sleeping. I despair of this country that I adopted I really do.
    It is a NATIONAL DISGRACE

The Washington Post has to be careful here, they won’t dare criticize Banks that have been throwing people out of their houses all over the Metro-DC area, nor will they address the “legal professionals” that saw this easy prey, instead we’re left with an impression the City or some invisible investor is the bad guy. Make no mistake about it, the City sells these liens BECAUSE the FIRE sector demands that they do so, period, not because residents or citizens have any say in the matter to begin with. The Post is a newspaper, like so many others, that will never implicate the powerful people in our society who are ultimately responsible for these tragedies. They remain in the shadows, and apparently are able to get away with anything, even with a spectacle that is deemed worthy of publicity, they won’t be held to account.
