A Florida bill, sitting on the governor’s desk, would dramatically change how foreclosures happen. H.B. 87 aims to speed the foreclosure process, reducing back logs in the court system.
“The state of Florida is still at the bottom of the barrel in terms of the time it takes to complete a foreclosure,” said State Representative Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples, who sponsored the bill. “It takes us twice as long in Florida to complete a foreclosure as in other states.”
