Professor Adam Levitin Appointed to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s New Consumer Advisory Board

Georgetown University Law Center Professor Adam Levitin has been appointed to the new Consumer Advisory Board of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

“I am honored to join this distinguished group of consumer experts,” said Levitin. “I look forward to working with them and CFPB leadership on important issues affecting American consumers.” 

Levitin and 24 other consumer experts from outside the federal government were selected for the Consumer Advisory Board for terms ranging from one to three years. The newly appointed members include experts in consumer protection, financial services, community development, fair lending, civil rights and consumer financial products or services.
