Kansas City-
A federal judge has lifted an order that put a stop to foreclosures in more than 800 cases in Rhode Island
U.S. District Judge Jack McConnell issued the order Tuesday.
McConnell had set up a unique program that halted all foreclosure cases before the court and ordered financial institutions to try to settle with delinquent homeowners.
But the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said in June that his program did not follow proper procedures.
