Mortgage rates are a bit unsteady today — rates on roughly half of purchase terms have increased, and the other half have decreased. Thankfully, according to Zillow, the popular 30-year fixed mortgage rate is down by two basis points to 6.59%. The 15-year fixed rate has also declined by four basis points to 5.91%, and the 5/1 ARM rate has dropped by nine basis points to 7.15%.
Interest rates probably won’t plummet anytime soon. They should stay relatively stagnant into 2025, with occasional increases or decreases.
