Nothing about the process to clear the 30-unit apartment building at 22-26 Bradlee Road in Medford, just steps from “vibrant Medford Square,” was illegal.

The 18 units housing tenants at-will were notified as per the law. The 14 other units with leases that expire later in 2022 were also put on notice. Everyone agrees a landlord has the absolute right to their property.

But for those residents it’s: Everybody out!

The owner, listed in city records as Jason Savage, sent letters dated March 28 to all his at-will tenants that they have 30 days until their tenancy is terminated and need to have vacated their units by April 30.

The big question now, given the current housing market and the cost of rental units is: where will they go?
