“FORECLOSURE” filmmakers seek true horror stories: RICHARD LENDES

Currently lensing in Queens, NY, FORECLOSURE is an independent genre feature that draws inspiration from the current, very real terrors of the housing crisis. And its makers are now inviting people who have experienced them first-hand to share their experiences.

Over at the movie’s official website, those who have gone through their own frightening foreclosures can contribute their stories (of around 500 words); the first 50 people to do so will win an official FORECLOSURE T-shirt. “We have set our film in a typical American town and on a block in which nearly every house sits vacant and bank-owned,” including the one pictured below, says writer/director Richard Ledes. “When our film is ready for release, we hope to involve those who have shared their stories in our marketing campaign.” FORECLOSURE is a ghost story that takes its cues not only from current concerns but American socio-economic history as well, and stars Michael Imperioli (pictured above), Wendell Pierce, Bill Raymond, Jeff Burchfield, Meital Dohan, Brandon Gill, Spencer List, Tristan Laurence Perez, William Stone Mahoney and Roger Robinson. The cinematographer is Frederic Fasano, who shot DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?, MOTHER OF TEARS and GIALLO for Dario Argento.
