On Oct. 3, Glenn Kaplinsky wrote a check to his landscaper for $117.29 to cover his September bill, and he stuck it in the mail.
Before long, he heard from the landscaping company. It hadn’t received the payment.
Kaplinsky checked his Chase bank account, and to his surprise, that check number was cashed for $7,117.29.
His bank account was down $7,000.
To find out what happened, Kaplinsky went to the Chase branch in Livingston.
