What can I say in 2000 words that will make sense given the current state of affairs in America?

It never ceases to amaze me how people don’t learn from previous mistakes, especially here in America, where many are brainwashed into thinking that home ownership is their God-given Constitutional right because that document (as well as the Bill of Rights) speaks of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, which includes Property, or the lack thereof.

Even in the days of Christ, who overthrew the moneychangers in the temple, the banks have lent with usury and people who believed that they needed to borrow money became servants of those who lent it. Times have not changed.

I have heard so many horror stories about failed American Dreams. It saddens me that hard-working Americans should be thrown out on the street by a bunch of lenders who use a streamlined electronic database to buy and sell our promissory notes without giving our chains of title a second thought. Even worse, States like Massachusetts, which gave us the even sadder commentary of U. S. Bank, N.A. v. Antonio Ibanez has caused to be passed legislation that automatically “corrects” title when foreclosure occurs, as if to make a mockery of the land title system currently in place. I think the banks operating in America today conveniently forgot about human value and pay more attention to their bottom lines. This has given many of us a sour taste … I know it has me.
