JPMorgan Fails to Dismiss California Debt Collection Case, Illegally Tried to Collect Debt on Over 100K CC Borrowers

Now you know for DAMN SURE all other states will find this shit going on and not just with JPMorgan!

Bloomberg-

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) lost a bid to throw out a lawsuit by the California attorney general alleging that the largest U.S. bank by assets illegally tried to collect debt from about 100,000 credit-card borrowers.

California Superior Court Judge Jane L. Johnson in Los Angeles yesterday rejected the bank’s argument that the attorney general’s unfair competition claims were precluded by California legal authority.

“I can’t find any case that is just slam-dunk there for you,” Johnson told JPMorgan’s lawyer, David Schrader.

  1. Sarah says:

Which other states would that be? Creditor/loan shark friendly as some of them are. The degenerate solicitors will surely claim “people just want free stuff”. Remember how they wanted “free houses?”
Trying to get things like shelter, rent, medical bills and food it simply an attempt to “get away with it”. Insane, but remarkably popular. A closer examination of how corporate empires from FistUSA to Capone actually operate reveals their collective antisocial behavior. “But I pay my balance off every month!!”. Yes, I do too, but this completely misses the point. There is big profit to be made.

  2. All the debt collectors are doing this. Chase is collecting on WAMU Long Beach Mortgage loans Lawrence Nardi deposition tells you were never transferred to Chase, ever. They don’t exist.
