Any lawyer could be much more effective for their clients if the law weren’t so in favor of the alleged creditors to begin with. The 2005 Bankruptcy “reforms” (ironically, right when people were being their liars loans) have made this entire tragedy much worse. You can thank bank lobbying on both sides of the aisle, including Joe Biden.
