If you’re curious to see and read what this all looks like and for a grand total of $300.00 for having your life savings literally stolen from you…. And remember “The Payment is Final. There is no process to appeal the payment”.

So lets recap for a sec… Banks hire the reviewers, Banks and regulators botch the process, Banks tell the reviewers/regulators what sums should be paid out and to whom. You guessed it the Banks were in charge of their own Foreclosure Fraud!

What a circus, there are no regulators. The Banksters got away with the most important crimes, the settlement was another attack, people are not going to forget. This latest episode in cruelty is therefore no surprise.

  2. PJ says:

Instead of cashing the check, use it as evidence in a lawsuit for wrongful foreclosure. The purpose of the check is to compensate for fraud, so initiate a suit for wrongful foreclosure, evidencing the check as admission of guilt.

Also, not a bad idea to have a forensic audit done with someone you can trust. You’ll find all kinds of specific malfeasance.

  3. Here is the comment from our Washington AG’s office on not being accountable for setting us up for this petti remedy. The OCC and Fed are responsible. Am I missing something here? Did the AG’s not set us up for this insult? and lack of protecting the consumers? In reality letting the banks off the hook. I guess we should be greatful, they could have given us less. After all it appears the AG’s are servants of the banks and not the people. From: “David Huey (ATG)”

You are aware, are you not, that the AG’s are not involved in the independent foreclosure review? That settlement was with federal bank regulators, the Office of Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Reserve Board.

Of course, you are always free to return the check to them or throw it away and not cash it.

We are not worth much to our AG’s are we?

  4. My check was for 2000.00 which is an insult. At least it is admission of proof of guilt for wrong doing. ASK FOR THE INDEPENDENT REVIEW FILE FOR YOUR CASE!!!!

  5. I should add You are not giving up your right to sue for more compensation. However the petti checks will pay for an hour on consultation in most cases, and not enough to cover some attorneys for one hour and in some cases you may pay for a month of legal help. AND WE SHOULD ALL BE GRATEFUL FOR THIS EFFORT TO LET THE BANKS OFF THE HOOK.

  6. Keke says:

PJ, on page two of the letter included with the check sentence #7 states as follows-THIS PAYMENT DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THAT YOU SUFFERED FINANCIAL INJURY OR HARM. So much for admitting guilt to the crimes they committed.
