The Obama administration named Holly Petraeus–wife of retired Gen. David Patraeus, who resigned last week as CIA director after revealing he had had an extramarital affair–to a $187,605-per-yer job in the newly formed Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
The CFPB, created by the Dodd-Frank law, was placed by that law under the umbrella of the Federal Reserve. The funding of the CFBP, which comes from the Federal Reserve, is not subject to congressional oversight.

Perks like this are required to assist memory. Example: “I recall specifically that the Benghazi attack began as a protest over something on UTube”.
This is common in DC, more than is ever selectively revealed by the press. Call it nepotism, call it unethical, there it is.
Petraeus is going away, thus more disparaging press. The CFPB was created for the consumer, or the public’s benefit, we should assume. As long as Holly is qualified for the job, and actually ensures the morphing alleged mission of the CFPB, this is just something to roll our eyes at.
I tried using this phony service. All they did was send me a letter stating that everything was done correctly. They gave me a contact number for the same outfit that harmed me. Of course nobody answered and although CFPB said that the contact MUST contact me within 48 hours, he never did. This is another FARCE so that the gov. can claim they are doing something. Of course higher taxes must be obtained to fund this joke.
