KTLA-5
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (KTLA) — A woman learned last week that she had contracted the West Nile virus and she blames the swamp-like swimming pool of a neighbor’s foreclosed home.
Debbie Davis — who works at KTLA 5 as a graphic designer — learned she contracted the West Nile virus when she participated in a company blood drive.
Now, Davis’ neighbors are being tested for the disease after concerns arose that the pool’s stagnant water has become a breeding ground for West Nile-spreading mosquitoes.
