A South Florida woman succeeded with the unheard of when she was able to get her mortgage wiped out by a lender.

In an effort to save her mother’s home, Idania Castro waged a two-year battle with the bank.

“The mortgage got wiped out, so I have no mortgage payment, everything was completely satisfied,” Castro said.

The woman, who took it upon herself to go through every document related to the mortgage, finally discovered robo-signing. She said the signatures on her foreclosure documents appeared to have been signed by different people.

I wish I could do this. My mortgage was not Notarized. The Idaho Attorney Generals office says that our Promissory Note and our Deed of Trust were never Notarized. Every month, the Trustee’s threaten to Auction our house off…even though we are not in foreclosure. To many cooks in the kitchen…OCWEN, who took over for Saxon, Pioneer Lender Services, Regional Trustee Services all for one loan! The Idaho Attorney General’s office had to take over, but they are still threatening to auction…what a mess!

This ought to happen for every single homeowner who has been lied to, tricked, cheated, and robbed by these banks. There should be no excuses or slack given to the banks because they knew, and still know, what they did before and are still doing to these homeowners despite 48 states requiring them to straighten up.

They are looking into the face of the people and continuing to defraud them knowing most of these people don’t have the money for an attorney to right these wrongs, and they are also looking into the face of the states and the feds and openly defying them even after they agreed to stop what they were doing.

The penalty ought to be simple and swift – every house in modification should be given, free and clear, to the homeowner. Period. End of problem. If the banks go down, so be it. This was their choice, not just once but twice! Who ELSE gets to commit these kinds of crimes multiple times and then gets to commit those crimes multiple times AGAIN, without real penalty? I mean in truth, they ought to all be in jail.
