NY Foreclosure Lawyer Under Investigation, Auburn Woman Speaks Out

AUBURN — Marie Treat is happy to learn that Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is investigating a Buffalo law firm for questionable strong-arm tactics in its handling of thousands of foreclosures in New York State. Treat says the Steven J. Baum law firm put her through two and a half years of unnecessary anguish when it tried to foreclose on her home in Auburn beginning in 2007.

    Wells, PHH, MLCC/BOA–I tracked cusips for the tranches, researched who the investors are, and with additional details in a letter to the investors of the related certificates, the investors can decide why Wells, PHH, MLCC / BOA transferred 1-TOXIC assets into the trust they invested in, 2-In a cc: the the IRS they can explain why they misreported their REMICs and 3 – In a cc: to the SEC they can explain why a toxic mortgage was assigned into the trust TWO YEARS after the PSA closing date. And a complaint to the AG makes a lot of sense too.
